Coconut Blanket by Artimíque was a bit of a wild card for me. I usually struggle with aquatic scents, they so often turn into stanky pond water on my skin. And coconut-forward perfumes? They tend to lean either full-on suntan lotion or thick and cloying. However this one genuinely surprised me. It’s soft, fresh, and somehow strikes a perfect balance between watery brightness and warm, creamy comfort.

First Impressions
The opening is bright and breezy, lemon and mint give it a cooling, refreshing quality that immediately made me think of sipping and iced coconut water in an open air café by the sea. The coconut is there, but it’s not thick, dry or milky. It’s fresh, more like the water than the flesh, and it gives the whole scent a lightness.
From Beachy Brightness to Soft Warmth
As it wears, the florals start to bloom gently. There’s a soft whisper of florals, not powdery or vintage, just a light floral haze. The aquatic aspect starts to settle down, and what’s left is a warm, musky floral sandalwood with a hint of vanilla and coconut still lingering.
It almost becomes a skin scent, clean, creamy, and a little sweet, but never cloying but it also has more of a noticeable scent bubble than other “skin scents” I have tried. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some musk in the base even though it’s not listed. There’s a fluffiness in the drydown that really gives ‘cozy blanket’ energy.
How It Compares
If you liked Coconut Fizz by Guerlain for its light, watery coconut, this might be a lovely alternative. Coconut Blanket has nuance and softness, and it feels more wearable beyond just beachy settings. The coconut in there really is beautifully balanced with its translucent nature, it isn’t overwhelmingly thick, dry or suffocating (unlike some other coconut containing releases in the past few years).
When I’d Wear It
I can see this working beautifully in summer, especially for casual daytime wear or a coastal getaway. It’s the kind of thing I’d want to wear after a swim, or to brunch on a warm day. Clean, comforting, with just enough sweetness to feel special.
Final Thoughts
I didn’t expect to love this, but on skin, it really shines. The balance between aquatic, creamy, and musky makes it quietly addictive. It’s a coconut scent I can get behind: not too tropical, not too gourmand, just… delicate and comforting.
