Every Perfume I Wore in August

The month of August was a big month for wearing perfume. I wore lots, I wore them often and I basically could not make up my mind. Partially this is due to my life feeling a bit chaotic at the moment, we are in the midst of renovations and the house is perpetually in a “state”. Job uncertainty set in, as we received some pretty concerning news about a major restructure in our organisation, and we had two significant losses and subsequent funerals to attend. To say that my mind has not been focussed on anything is an understatement. Some days I was literally spritzing something new every other hour just to try and seek some comfort in…something.

Love Delight (Amouage) – Fluffy pastry vibes with musk, ginger & heliotrope (Worn 3 times)

Frangipani (Ormonde Jayne) – Green, a little citrusy and fresh, enhanced by linden blossom (Worn 3 times)

Imitation Woman (Amouage) – Mouthwatering blackcurrant, spikey dark greens licorice and a hint of incense. So unique and captivating! (Worn 3 times)

Silky Woods Elixir (Goldfield & Banks) – Dark green fig, woods, incense and aromatic vanilla. Bombastic. (worn 2 times)

Ambre Royal (Ormonde Jayne) – Musky translucent amber accord with leathery touches. Regal. (worn 2 times)

Ajayeb Dubai Portrait (Lattafa) – Dark woody mango with earthy spices. Intriguing. (Worn 2 times)

Beloved Woman (Amouage) – Impossible to describe. Opulent, glamorous, leathery, aromatic amber and resins with an animalic touch. (worn 2 times)

Iris Doux (Puente Parfums) – Somewhat aromatic, green, bracing iris with warm tonka and sandalwood (Worn 2 times)

Fleurs de Reine (Maison Godet) – A bouquet of sweet white florals and velvety mimosa (Worn 2 times)

Cairo (Penhaligons) – Sumptuous rose, saffron and woody patchouli amber. Eye-rollingly good. (worn 2 times)
